Our center is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. We maintain a one-stop agency where parents may receive direct consultations by highly qualified medical and educational professionals including:

  • registered and practical nurses
  • physical, occupational and speech therapists
  • family counselor
  • teachers with early childhood, special education, and/or child development credentials
  • paraprofessionals
  • program managers.


Our center offers a tailored and integrated experience where children with disabilities learn and grow with children who have typical development. We have more than twenty years of experience serving children with

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Seizure disorders
  • Brain injury
  • Autism and pervasive developmental delay
  • Down syndrome
  • Vision and hearing impairments
  • Genetic disorders and syndromes
  • Speech and language delays
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Fine and gross motor delays
  • Sensory integration concerns
  • Emotional and Social concerns
  • Typical development

Challenged Child and Friends, Inc. is a non-profit organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Tax Code. The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that meets regularly.


 


To serve children six weeks to six years with state-of-the-art nursing, therapeutic, educational and family counseling services in a preschool environment.


Children and their families will have increased levels of confidence, skills and hope for the future - providing the community with a strengthened group of citizens.
