o Administrative Volunteer of the Year – Corrine White

o Program Volunteer of the Year – Amy Nabors

These individuals represented the hundreds of volunteers who serve Challenged Child and Friends in a variety of ways. We are grateful for these volunteers who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of our children and families

Taking a break at Big Jim's Shootout

Many thanks to Jim Walters for sponsoring and hosting this exciting new Challenged Child and Friends’ event. Also, thanks to Stephen Brock and John Pudenz for helping coordinate and facilitate the event. Johnny’s BBQ provided a wonderful lunch to all participants. Thanks to all who participated to make this a memorable and successful event!

On January 10, family and friends gathered at Challenged Child and Friends for a dedication of Jennie Kern's statue that now stands at the entrance to the center.

Jennie was one of the first students at Challenged Child. Her mom, Linda, has served as board member, a volunteer and now, as school nurse at CCAF. We are proud that family and friends of Jennie chose to honor her memory in such a lasting and special way. The Butch Miller family and the Kern family provided beautiful new landscaping to surround both Jennie and Cole's statues. Stop by the center and see our new entrance.

Girls Scout Visit CCAF Girl Scout Troup 13560 and other Girl Scouts from the Hall Plains Service Unit collected and delivered Girl Scout cookies that individual purchasers had donated to Challenged Child and Friends. These young ladies and their leader presented the cookies, along with a check, to executive director Dave Earnest at the center. Many thanks to these Scouts for their hard work and dedication to making a difference.
