Nursing

 Challenged Child and Friends provides nursing services during our center hours.  Our nurses monitor the health needs and concerns for all enrolled children which includes parent consultation, training and coordination with other health care providers. Children enrolled in the Early Intervention Treatment Program may receive specified and/or prescribed clinical nursing treatments.  Nursing services include, but are not limited to the following:

• Response to minor illness and injuries
• Medication dispensation
• Seizure monitoring, response and medication dispensation
• Tube feedings
• Breathing treatments
• Blood sugar monitoring
• Catheterization
• Tracheotomy care
