Parent Teacher Connection (PTC)

Mission:

The Parent Teacher Connection (PTC) is an inclusive organization that works to support Challenged Child and Friends, Inc. (CCAF).  It is comprised of both parents and teachers who want to unite efforts to encourage the best learning environment for the children enrolled at CCAF.  The PTC is also a support organization for all parents and teachers whose children attend CCAF.  The PTC hopes for 100% participation from the parents and teachers of CCAF and PTC hopes to become a great resource to assist the school in both educational endeavors and volunteer efforts as well as become a strong support network for everyone involved.

Purpose:
  • To promote parent involvement and increase parent awareness of school activities throughout the year.
  • To increase closer relations between the parents, teachers and the school, in hopes that they may cooperate intelligently in the education of the children.
  • To provide a support network to both parents and teachers of children who attend CCAF.
  • To organize a Classroom Volunteer Program within which parents will support the teacher and act as a Teacher Helper.
  • Through the Classroom Volunteer Program, parents and teachers will work together as a useful resource to assist CCAF with numerous school/fundraising activities.  The PTC does not require a particular financial and/or time commitment but requests volunteers to help support CCAF PTC activities.
